The 1st Test was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a waterlogged pitch. Whilst this does represent quite a good result for the team in terms of the series, nevertheless it was extremely disappointing to start the tour without any play.
Much time was spent in The Beaver, which for those wondering is a pub in Appledore, followed by some quiz activity in The Kings Arms, followed by kebabs from Chemical Ali's and a trek to The Joiners for a late night pint of Adnams. Sadly however these were the highlights of the day.
