All rise to pay due respects to mark the 59th birthday of The Grand Old Man Of Tour, Mr Phil 'Peacock' Roberts. And he doesn't look a day over seventy...Phil has made 34 tour appearances and since his hips were resoldered he has been happily adding to his tour tally of over 20 wickets and nearly 200 runs. Still fondly remembered for his Holsworthy Wave, no tour would be the same without Robbo, with his wandering recollections of his early playing days with Jack Hobbs and Herbert Sutcliffe.
From those of us who began touring with Robbo all those years ago and from those of a more recent vintage, it's a Very Happy Birthday from all of us! And we'll drink to that in The Kings Arms in July!
