50 Wickets For Noursey!

Another major tour milestone was achieved during this year's truncated tour when Phil Nourse became the first bowler to reach 50 tour wickets when claiming 3/22 at Newton Tracey.

An ever-present on all sixteen tours, Phil has now bowled 196 overs in total, claiming 52 wickets at a healthy average of 18.35, with a best of 5/82 against Newton Tracey in 2004. He has also, of course, contributed 585 runs over the years and, whilst not suggesting jug avoidance, it is interesting to note that this includes ten scores over 25 and no fifties!

To most of us Phil is the tour and his cheerful optimism looking towards 2011 should be a reminder to all of us that there is plenty of time before any of us need pack up the game for good! Congratulations on reaching fifty wickets, Phil, now get a fifty with the bat and buy us all a pint!
