James record now stands at 1013 runs from 37 innings at an average of 38.9, with nine fifties and a top score of 94 not out against Bideford in 2006. Throw in his 37 wickets, 13 catches and splendid ground fielding and it wouldn't be stretching it too far to say that he has been a useful tourist over the last 15 years!
Congratulations to James from all of your fellow tourists who have enjoyed your company both on and off the field. Now just keep it going... you know you can't pack it in until you get a tour ton after all!
Well done James ! I hadn't realised that particular milestone was in sight. Good stuff ! I dare say there's quite a gap to the next highest runscorer. Can you enlighten us Seamo ?
ReplyDeleteIndeed I can... Mostyn has 787 and Stan has 723, both therefore a single tour away from joining James at this milestone...
ReplyDeleteCloser than I thought. Not sure even I will be touring long enough to get to 1,000 runs although 1,000 pints must be coming up soon !
ReplyDeletePhil, I have worked it out statistically and, at your current rate of progress, you will reach the 1000 runs milestone in 2022 on Tour 28. I am in no doubt whatsoever that this is well within range for you to achieve...
ReplyDeleteTour 28 ? Blimey even I hadn't thought that far ahead ! Obviously the 1,000 pints landmark comes in slightly ahead of that !
ReplyDeleteConsiderably ahead of that, I'd have thought..
