June Caption Competition

We go back in time for this month's caption competition to the days when life was black and white and no-one yet knew that Colin's hair was purple. Pathe News have released this rare archive footage of Mr Seaman Senior of the GPO and your interpretation of the scene and it's obvious cricketing context is invited!

The usual rules apply, just leave your entries as comments at the bottom of this posting. Entries by Sunday 13th June please, after which an Online Poll will follow to select a winner. Good luck to all!

Despite climbing to the highest vantage point in Westleigh, Dave still couldn't see where that fifth six off Noursey's over had landed

Since he'd heard that a new Pole was in town, Dave went out of his way to make him feel welcome
