July Caption Competition Winner

The July Caption Competition was our most popular yet for some reason and, as an added bonus, announcing the winner gives us more opportunity to admire Lara Bingle taking guard.


Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to enter and also to everyone who took the time to vote for a winner from the shortlisted entries. The winning entry was:-

"At last - we can see what Paul O'Neill's sister looks like...a right bag of spanners as we'd suspected....."

The anonymous donor of the winning caption has now been identified as Pete Newby, who therefore wins the prize of a nearly-new copy of Not Dark Yet.

An honourable mention also for the runner-up, White Stick Man (could that be Mick? -Ed) with :-

"You've lost weight, Scoggs"

Finally an equally honourable mention should go to Colin Warner who was late with his entry but it was a good one :-

"I don't know how these clever Internet picture things work, but Mandy tells me that apparently if you look long enough and hard enough, there's a cricket bat in her hand - amazing!!
