It is with very great regret that the Tour Committee is having to announce the absence of tour stalwart Phil Nourse from this year’s tour.
Phil is obviously gutted at not being able to join us, especially as he was planning on switching from spin to pace bowling this year and was also planning to “open up” when batting. He had planned to switch his beer drinking to cider to keep Chilts company and room-share with Scoggy to make up for all of his year’s of abusing the “luck of the draw” room allocation system. He was looking forward to spending quality time with Newbs.
Although the reason for Noursey’s absence remains confidential, I am sure that Phil would appreciate any messages of support you might care to leave by a posting below, even if it’s just “send us twenty quid to get a round in on your behalf!”
Hi, It's a very great blog.
ReplyDeleteKeep doing it!
Thank God for that - he got the Charlton manager's job then? - I hope that the Tour Committee have lined up a suitable replacement - Steve Edwards anyone?
ReplyDeleteThere was a suggestion that Tim Batty wanted to room share with Phil again this year - maybe that has something to do with it???
ReplyDeleteIf anyone falls for that baloney then I'm an opening batsman.
ReplyDeleteNewton Tracey 71 all out
ReplyDeleteAbbey opening batsmen (briefly!) - Chilts & Seamo
It has happened!
