Quiz Night Reminder - April 22nd

QUIZ NIGHT REMINDER!!!

  • Wednesday 22nd April
  • 19:30 sharp
  • Bletchley Conservative Club
  • Teams of four persons max
  • £12 a team
  • CASH PRIZES!

It's not too late to enter a team for the annual quiz and you too can test your knowledge of the obscure whilst enjoying an evening of intra-round stand-up from our own Phil Nourse! Who could ever forget the following classic Noursey one-liners (sadly all genuine!)...

"At his age Robbo lives each day as if it’s his last... seriously, he can’t be sure how long he has left and faces a regular dilemma of whether to purchase green bananas."

"Mostyn fell ill recently whilst working as a deck-chair attendant and he collapsed on the beach. It took three people half an hour to put him back up again."

"Fame was brought to Reading by Joseph Huntly of Huntly and Palmer fame, the philanthropist who provided a row of terraced houses for the poor. Sadly at the official grand opening the ones at each end were found to have developed cracks and quickly crumbled."

"Ipswich houses the court house where Mrs Wallace Simpson obtained her divorce prior to marrying the Duke of Windsor. However, Wallace kept her married surname, preferring not to go back to her maiden name of And-Grommit."

See you all on the 22nd then!!!

  1. Noursey is a star. It's not always easy to find the right words to fit the occasion as I can testify. Some social situations can catch you off guard ranging from dining in the Chinese or even on the field of play !
