Many thanks are due to Phil Nourse who provided an evening of great entertainment at the annual quiz night. Staged for the first time, courtesy of Mark 'Tory Boy' Chilton, at Bletchley Conservative Club, fifteen teams enjoyed a heady mix of dreadful jokes, great beer and the usual challenging miscellany of quiz questions. Chilts reports that the usual bar takings were up £800 on normal and tour funds were boosted by £225 so the evening was an all-round success and was enjoyed by everybody!

The quiz was won by Universally Challenged, led by John Callaghan and his team of BT cohorts. A late charge, initiated by their encyclopedic knowledge of Abba show tunes, lifted Yorkies Not For Girls, featuring tourists Chilts, Keith Morley & Pete Ashford into the money as runners-up. A four-way tie-break for third was won by Eddie Quizzard, adding to a night of jubilation for the Seamo's who had earlier scooped a variety of edible spot prizes, to their great delight!
