Due to an unfortunate double-booking, Bideford CC have been unable to accommodate us this year at Westward Ho! and so we will be making a first visit to Chulmleigh CC.
Information on Chulmleigh CC can be found on their very good website at http://www.chulmleighcricketclub.co.uk/. You'll see that the club was first formed in 1880, moved to the current ground in 1946 and doesn't play league cricket, preferring to play a season of friendlies against local and touring sides. We'll also get to try a new pub as their after-match venue appears to be The Globe.
Thanks are due to Ronnie Ghose for making the calls necessary to secure this fixture, as well as renewing the other four matches, and another splendid day out in the Devon countryside seems assured!
Played at Chulmleigh last summer for Newton Tracey - they weren't great - we won!
