The only man to seriously threaten Geezer's monopoly on memorable tour sayings - "...so what do you do in the winter?" - Darren was with us on Tour 1 and fittingly will reappear on Tour 15. In between his other social activities he has managed to squeeze in 26 matches, over 200 runs, almost 20 wickets and, as one of our leading fielders, a dozen catches. He has also played 175 games of pool and in 2002 was voted Best Overseas Player at The Bell.
As perhaps the most sought after room-mate on Tour, Chunks is invariably cheerful and has a happy knack of reappearing at game time even if he has for some reason missed the tour breakfast. Indeed he seems to have made even more friends in the locality than Newbs and it's good to think that there are a few corners of North Devon which are forever Olney.
