It is with very great pleasure that the 39th birthday of our own Dave Austin is announced, both here online and in the usual highbrow newspaper which Mostyn is seen perusing in our library picture, James helpfully pointing out that the tits and bums are on Page 3.
Dave has been ever-present on Tour and has featured in no less than 44 matches, amassing 745 runs at an average of over 20, whilst also goal-keeping spectacularly to claim 17 victims, plus 2 more when entrusted with the ball to try his Monty Panesars. Dave's top score, of course, has passed into tour folklore when he finished 99 not out, ham & pickle sandwiches stopped play!
Dave is also our resident Tour Photographer and both the tour guide and this website are indebted to him for his contributions. He has had to invest in an extra-wide-angle lens for some of us in recent years but, as he always tells the ladies, his zoom remains in perfect working order. Not to mention his flash...
